What that message means
Batchnook keeps its messages short and plain.
Batchnook keeps its messages short and plain. Here are the ones you’re most likely to see, and what each one is telling you.
Signing in. “We couldn't send that code — check the email and try again.” means the code didn’t go out — check the address is right. “Too fast — give it a few seconds and try again.” means you tapped Resend too soon; wait a moment. “That code didn’t match. Codes expire after an hour.” means the code was wrong or has aged out — ask for a fresh one.
Scanning a receipt. “We couldn’t read that receipt. Try again — nothing was charged for a failed read.” means the photo couldn’t be read, and a failed read never spends one of your scans — retake it flat and in good light. “We couldn’t reach the server — nothing was saved. Try again when you’re connected.” means you’re offline; nothing was half-saved.
Recording work. “We couldn’t log that batch. Check the recipe and try again.” and “We couldn’t record that order. Check the products and try again.” both mean the save didn’t go through — check the entry and try once more. Nothing partial is left behind.
Importing. “That file isn’t a CSV. Export your data as a CSV — not an Excel or PDF file — and choose it again, or paste it below.” means the file was the wrong type. “That import can’t be undone — some items are already in use, or the 24-hour window has passed.” means the one-tap undo has closed for that import.
Plans and billing. “That's the free plan's 3 products — everything you've costed keeps working.” means you’ve reached a Free-plan limit, and nothing you already have is lost. “Couldn’t open checkout — check your connection and try again.” means the web checkout couldn’t open — check your connection and retry.
